AI The New Photography Trend

AI is the hot new trend in photography, revolutionizing the way we enhance images. With the recent advancements in artificial intelligence technology, photographers now have access to a whole new world of possibilities that allows them to create stunning photos like never before.

Photoshop users have been utilizing AI technology to their advantage for a long time, but Photoshop recently released a Beta version that uses AI technology for "Generative Fill" that goes above and beyond!  I had heard mixed reviews on how well it works so I was a little skeptical, but I decided to give it a try.  My studio is quite small so I can't set up elaborate scenes like a lot of other boudoir photographers, so why not add another tool to my toolbox, right? I specifically wanted to see if I could easily select the background of my photo and use AI to generate an elaborate and realistic background that would completely change the look and feel of my existing photos.

The AI photo above took several tries to get the correct prompts for the bedroom scene.  Honestly, the bedroom scene turned out better than I expected and instantly I wanted to share it with you! Unfortunately, in the original she was naked so that severely limited my ability to share it.  So, I decided to AI generate some clothes on her too!  What do you think?

Not surprising, but not all of my attempts have turned out as successful. More than likely it's user error using poor prompts, but my second AI photo attempt didn't produce anything worthy of taking up hard drive space.

If you look closely you'll see some blurred areas where the AI technology mushed data together, but overall I'm pretty happy with this one too!

AI Photo Struggles

If you have ever worked with me, read anything on my website or know me at all, you know that words do not always come easy to me.  So, as much as I love this new AI photography trend, it also doesn't exactly come easy to me.  Why do words matter?  Well, this AI technology creates visual representations based on word prompts.  Then, their algorithm scans their database for photos and compiles options.  Sometimes they options are horrible and sometimes they look pretty good.  So who has the bigger limitation: me or the software?  I'm not 100% sure, but my guess is it's a little of both.  Anyways, I'm sure I'll continue to improve with additional practice and their system will continue to improve with additional updates!  Want to make sure you're in the know ?  Make sure you follow me on Instagram and Facebook and most importantly, sign up for my email list!  (Hint, hint... my email list gets first dibs and special offers so definitely make sure you get on that list!)
