It is a gift from my daughter and granddaughter.
Enlightening the younger people that I earned these wrinkles and I have a lot of knowledge.
Showing younger women that age is beautiful no matter what age you are.
Most valuable lesson I have learned throughout the years is to never take life for granted. Live each day as if it were your last. Family is the most important thing to me.
Don’t put baby oil on yourself in your 20’s and sit in the sun. It causes skin cancer 😳
My mother was. She raised 4 children in the war time in Germany, my father died when I was 2 yrs old. She was strong and showed us how to get through hard times and be positive!
Don’t always worry about the way you look.
I felt the most beautiful when my husband looked at me. His eyes would tell me.

Irene was one of my favorites from the first round of the 40 over 40. Her granddaughter and daughter sponsored her entry because they knew she would absolutely love to participate. Irene shared some of her wisdom, her life experiences and successes and will have your cheeks aching from all the laughter. I enjoyed my time with her and could easily see why her family loves her so much. It was a beautiful day celebrating such a beautiful woman inside and out.
