No Such Thing as Too Big For Boudoir
I know you don't believe me, probably because of the societal biases we've long endured, but there is no such thing as too big for boudoir! Bodies of all sizes are beautiful and deserving of existing in boudoir portraits. Your body may not be the small as it once once and girls may not be as perky as they once were, but you are still worthy of experiencing the ultimate self-love portrait session, a boudoir portrait session. In fact, one day you may look back and think to yourself, "Why wasn't I happy back then? I wish I had that body now?"
YOUR BODY IS BEAUTIFUL NOW
Your body is beautiful. It's a thing to be celebrated. You have been through so much with your body. It brought you to this point. Even if it's not what you consider ideal, it really is a beautiful vessel. It has taken you on trips, it's brought you through sorrow, it walked you down the aisle at your wedding, it bore your children, it keeps you alive. It is worth celebrating exactly as it is! And that is exactly what I did at my heaviest weight ever. I experienced my plus-sized boudoir portrait session which you can read more about.

Should you lose weight first?
No, it's not necessary to lose weight for the boudoir portrait session. Does that mean you shouldn't lose weight? Not necessarily, losing weight could be very important to your future health depending on your personal life. It simply means to love yourself now...and not hate yourself because of the weight. Boudoir is a beautiful way to commemorate your body, to accept it and to love it. Women who want to lose weight or think they are 'too big' for boudoir sessions, often come in hesitant and anxious about what their final photos will look like. And every single one has left loving everything about their photos. They learn to fall in love with themselves and their body after their boudoir session. It is a very important tool in learning to love yourself exactly the way you are. And once you love yourself, the process of being kind to yourself is much easier. So, for those of you on a weight loss journey or who want to begin a weight loss journey, a boudoir session is especially important because it will empower you to love your body exactly the way it is. When you love yourself, you learn to be kind to yourself, which makes it easier to make the healthy decisions your body needs.
MINIMIZING PROBLEM AREAS
So, you have love handles. You have rolls. You are in a size that makes you want to cry. You're afraid that you will look awkward or your portraits won't look like any of the other beautiful images you've seen. You think only skinny girls can look good in these kinds of photos.
You may still have reservations and concerns about your specific "problem areas." Well, regardless of whether the woman in front of my lens was a size 4, 14 or 24; each one had similar concerns and reservations because finding a woman who is completely confident and accepting of every inch of her body is rare.
It's My Job
Your body doesn't have to be perfect and you don't have to be photogenic. For that matter, you don't have to think you have a sexy side, know how to pose or know what to do with your hands. You don't even have to be the "perfect size". All you have to do is show up for yourself. Show up for yourself, relax and enjoy yourself. Those are your responsibilities. Because as your photographer, it's my job to make you photogenic. Do you want to know my secret? It is posing and angles. I have a ton of experience on how to make ALL women look good in their photos. I know how to pose you to minimize your personal areas of insecurity.
