Shelly's 40 Over 40 Story
I am excited to have professional help with makeup, hair, posing, and wardrobe, to wind up with beautiful portraits I actually like of myself, and then get to share the experience with other amazing women over 40.

This photo was well received by her friends and family when she posted it on Facebook. A lot of people think it's a beautiful portrait of a woman praying, but it's much more than that. Shelly is a registered nurse and she loves her profession. However, the day before our portrait session, there was a court ruling that devastated her. The ruling had nothing to do with her personally, but it was a blow for the nursing profession. Tears were shed as she explained the situation and her anger. Her fear for the future of the nursing profession was palpable. We used those emotions to capture this portrait. So while she prays for the nursing profession and her colleagues, it also represents how this ruling will restrict and bind the profession moving forward.
Had that historic event not happened the day before our session, we would not have captured such a meaningful portrait of her. I'm thankful to have been given the opportunity to help her express her feelings in such a beautiful way.
What meaningful event would you like to harness the emotions from to create beautiful portraits to cherish forever? Fill out the questionnaire and schedule a call with me. I'd love to hear about it!!
